National Registry of Foreigners 2021


The National Institute of Migration (INM), as of March 03, 2021, will update the National Registry of Foreigners, benefiting those who had an immigration document, either as a visitor or temporary resident, issued in 2019 or prior years and to date is expired.


The foregoing, regardless of whether they have incurred in an irregular immigration situation due to administrative aspects, as long as the foreigner has complied with the laws in Mexico.

Temporary Residence is obtained for 1, 2, 3, 4, years


The requirements for regularization enforcing the Pilot Program for Migration Regularization 2021, are minimal:

Regularization application form filled out online.

Passport.

Appearance of the foreign person.

Payment of rights for the reception and study of the application for regularization, in the amount of $1,410.00.

Payment of the fine that the INM determines after the appearance, which can be approximately $1,793.00.

Payment of rights for the condition of stay requested and authorized by the INM.

Request letter, stating "under protest of telling the truth", that there was a legal stay in Mexico during 2019 or previous years.

FMM, visitor card or temporary resident card, if available.


Am I a Candidate for the 2021 Migration Regularization Pilot Program?


If before December 31, 2019, you had a legal stay as a Visitor or Temporary Resident, and to date your immigration card is expired.


Who are not the Immigration Regularization Pilot Program Candidates?


If you entered Mexico before December 31, 2019 and you never had an immigration document as a Visitor or Temporary Resident.
