SAT extends until January 1, 2023 the new electronic invoice 4.0

The Tax Administration Service has announced that the new electronic invoice 4.0 will be mandatory as of January 1, 2023, so that natural and legal persons have six more months to process their Tax Status Certificate.

Initially, the use of the Internet Digital Tax Receipt 4.0 was going to be mandatory as of July 1 of this year.

However, the SAT indicated last Wednesday, June 8, through a statement that its validity will be mandatory as of January 1 of the following year, so that taxpayers can catch up with their tax obligations.

Through the same statement, the SAT informs taxpayers that if they know their tax data (Federal Taxpayer Registry, Name or Business Name, Postal Code of the fiscal domicile, Tax Regime) they can deliver them to their employer or invoice issuer. without the need to present your Certificate of Fiscal Situation.

Similarly, it is established that not delivering the certificate for the issuance of the payroll invoice is not a reason for dismissal or withholding payments, since it is independent of the labor obligation that employers have to pay salaries and wages to their workers. .
