What is Permanent Residence?
This Condition of Stay authorizes a foreigner to remain in the national territory indefinitely with permission to carry out paid activities, in addition to entering and leaving the country as many times as he wants.


What is Permanent Residence for?
To reside in Mexico without losing the nationality of origin, avoiding the hassle of renewing your immigration document, there is the condition of stay of Permanent resident, authorized by the INM to foreigners who have a family relationship with a Mexican or foreigner with permanent residence, as well as foreigners who have lived legally for 4 years in the country with Temporary Residence.
Can I obtain the Permanent Residence earlier?
The exceptions that exist to the temporality of 4 years of legal stay, are 2 years of legal stay as a Temporary Resident when married to a Mexican or foreigner with permanent residence, or, without the necessary temporality when having a Mexican child.
